Since 1969, HHIV has been providing innovative customer-based services. As we look to the future, we plan to continue our journey as an organization that is driven by the wants and needs of the men and women with disabilities that we serve. There are a number of ways generous individuals, organizations and businesses can provide support for this journey. The following are examples of how you can be a part of ensuring the future of Horizon House. Your support will send a clear message that you care about and believe in the men and women with disabilities that we are committed to serving.
Memorials & Tributes
Memorial gifts are a lasting remembrance of a special person whom you wish to honor. You may honor a friend, family member or other loved one with a memorial gift that continues to honor his or her memory. You may also make a tribute gift to celebrate a birthday, anniversary, retirement, wedding or other milestone in a loved one’s life.

Road to Independence
Horizon House annual fundraising campaign is called the Road to Independence. Everything we do on behalf of the men and women we serve is building the Road to Independence. Everything they do…living, working and playing in the community is a part of their journey down the Road to Independence. The goals they set and the milestones they reach are an important part of that journey.
You can help them travel down the Road to Independence with a pledge or annual gift. We will be happy to set up a monthly, quarterly, or customized payment plan for you.
Horizon House Foundation
The Horizon House Foundation was established to provide a continuing source of funds for Horizon House. Lifetime gifts will be used to endow the organization. Individuals who leave a planned gift to the Horizon House Foundation become a member of Horizon House Futures.
Horizon House Futures members are people who not only care about the organization and support our vision, but they have also realized that through their careful planning, they can receive tax benefits that will allow their gifts to have an even greater impact.
Some of the types of gifts we accept include:
Bequests: You can include Horizon House in your will.
Trusts and Annuities: We can work with your tax advisor to find the best option for you.
Life Insurance: You can designate Horizon House Foundation as a beneficiary of a life insurance policy, IRA, or pension plan. This may afford tax advantages and allow you to contribute a larger gift than you might otherwise be able to give.
Real Estate: A gift of land or residential property could provide tax savings.
Securities: A gift of appreciated securities can provide significant tax relief.
